Well it seems like everyone has a blog now...so I thought I would join in on all the fun! I saw where one lady created a book of her blog posts. She posted a lot about her children and it was a neat way of making a memory book of them growing up. So that has been my inspiration. So in my first official blog, I will catch everyone up on what Ryan and I have been up to during our first year of marriage
1. We have been married almost a year (July 28th-next monday)! Marriage has definitely been a wonderful yet challenging experience. I know Ryan would agree to that =) Although we have been together almost 5 years now, I learn so many new things about my sweet husband everyday. I feel blessed to get to walk through life with him.

2. The rest of our little family includes our 1 1/2 year old Shih tzu puppy, Chloe. Although Ryan said we could not have a puppy, he caved in at the pet store when little Chloe climbed calmly in his lap and stared at him with her big puppy eyes. And the rest is history! Although she is a handful, she has made up for it with her sweet personality and the many times she has made Ryan and I laugh.

3. After a long year at Woodlake on the Bayou, Ryan and I have bought our first home! This has been such a wonderful blessing from God. Ryan and I prayed so much about where to move and that the perfect house would come along..and God provided the perfect house for us. We are so grateful to have our first home together. (Pictures to come!)
4. Ryan has changed jobs a couple of times this past year. He started at C-Beyond and in October he moved to Logix Communications (same type of product as C-Beyond). He was just really getting worn out of being in the telecom-industry and has recently started a job with Allied Waste. He has really jumped right into the field and has a lot of prospects. His hardwork makes me so proud! =)
5. Now to me..In October I also started my first "grown-up" job. I have been working for a patent law office and have really enjoyed it. I really think it is the best place to work ever. Outside of the wonderful people, they also take really good care of us. For example, today it was raining and the bosses ordered in Pappasitos for lunch for everyone, so we do not have to go out in the rain (we really look forward to rainy days around here)!
In June, I started my first year of law school at the University of Houston. I am really enjoying the challenge of something so unfamilar and different. But we will see if this statement changes come exam time in August. =)
As I have been typing this blog, it has made me realize how much God has blessed us this year and how good he is...in good times and bad. I am so thankful for his watchful care and love.
